DINING AT THE FAIRMONT
Named "Best Martini" by The Improper Bostonian and "Best Steakhouse" by Boston Magazine, The Oak Bar and the adjacent Oak Room are two of the most elegant rooms in the city.
Oak Room
The Oak Room has been described as "a brilliant gemstone in a magnificently restored antique setting." The restaurant is decorated with gold, green and maroon fabrics and draperies that complement the dark wood paneling and mirrored walls. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner the restaurant offers a traditional steakhouse menu in an elegant atmosphere.
The menu includes a variety of prime steak and chops, including the famous 20-ounce Bone-in Ribe Eye, Steak Au Poivre, Chateaubriand, Veal Chops or Lamb Chops. For those who prefer seafood, the Oak Room offers many choices, including Lobster, Swordfish Stea, Atlantic Salmon and Haddock Filet.
